Hector LeMans is the main antagonist of the 1998 point-and-click game that got remastered around 2015, Grim Fandango. A dangerous criminal during the world of living, he now becomes a dangerous crime lord of the Land of the Dead especially in the city of El Marrow. He is responsible for the corruption of Department of Death by stealing and counterfeiting Number 9 tickets and use them for his own agenda.

What Makes Him Pure Evil

  • Responsible for the corrupt state of Department of Death where the protagonist, Manuel "Manny" Calavera, works in as a salesman.
  • Stealing the Number 9 tickets and counterfeiting most of them so that he could sold them to those who are rich albeit not worthy. Fully aware that the people he conned after selling the fake Number 9 tickets went straight to hell.
  • Running a light bulb factory at the Edge of the World where he and his right hand, Domino Hurley, kidnaps and enslaves people who got lost in the Land of the Dead.
  • After becoming the most powerful figure of El Marrow, he commissioned a method to permanently kill people known as Sprouting, which would turn people into flowers by abusing an innocent botanist.
  • Anyone who had killed via sprouting has their bodies decorated in Hector's own greenhouse hideout and Hector has done this to countless of people.
  • When Manny tries to stop Hector's plans once and for all, Hector shoots him with a weapon that could led Manny experienced a rather slow and painful death.
  • Intends to use the tickets that he stole so that he could bribe his way to heaven.
