Kingsman is crumpets.
~ Poppy after destroying the Kingsman headquarters.
Say goodbye to the Kingsman!
~ Poppy as she stages the destruction of Kingsman.

Poppy Adams is the main antagonist of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the second installment of the Kingsman film series.

She is a notorious global entrepreneur and the CEO of the Golden Circle who seeks to cleanse humanity with rare dangerous drugs; which is additional to her plan in disposing all the Kingsman and later Statesman.

The character was portrayed by Julianne Moore.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • Punishes one of her henchmen by having his best friend, a new hire of the Golden Circle, shove him into a meat grinder after a slight hesitation of unquestioning loyalty.
  • Having her new hire eat a hamburger out of the meat of his best friend, implying that this is how she tests loyalty.
  • She allowed Charlie Hesketh to use her missiles in an attack on the Kingsmen, killing all the Kingsmen except Eggsy and Merlin.
  • Captures Elton John and treats him as a pet, equipping a shock collar and having him as personal entertainment. Also forces him to watch Angel getting killed for taking her products, and threatens to kill Elton for saving Harry.
  • Sics her robot dogs, Benny and Jet, on the new hire when he used one of her products and shared it with Elton John.
  • Sold drugs to people with a deadly virus laced into them that lasts three stages until death with her plan being to legalize the drug industry to make even more money, not caring that this would've led to millions of deaths, especially after The President refused to follow her complies.
  • Not willing to give up the antidote for her drugs when cornered by Eggsy and Harry and only complies when Eggsy shoots laced heroin in her (albeit, too late), which resulted in her well-deserved death.
  • Unlike Richmond Valentine, who is affable, less sadistic (among other redeeming characteristics), and was motivated to save the planet, Poppy is completely irredeemable and was motivated purely by a selfish desire for fame and sadism.
    • While Valentine's plan is worse, Poppy has less resources, as Richmond is head of big corporation, while Poppy is a drug lord, who isolated from World. Also, Poppy standing out because she destroyed Kingsmen (While Richmond only killed Harry for a while) and because effect of her virus is far worse than effect of Richmond's SIM cards or security implants.

Trivia[]

  • Poppy Adam is the first Pure Evil villain in the Kingsman series; preceding Captain Morton and Grigori Rasputin. While Charlie Hesketh appeared in the original film, his Pure Evil status wasn't completed until the second film.
